Trend: English Garden
This ultra feminine and pretty trend has been seen around a lot for this years spring/summer 2009 runways. From Fendi to Burberry Porsum we have seen blazers, florals, and more.

When putting an outfit together, think pastels- especially pink! This is what makes it so pretty-looking. So, an easy way to start of with is a high-waisted skirt, team it with a top in a soft colour or a lace tank. Lace is also a very important part of this trend. With shoes, keep the colours simple and both flats or heeld work with this trend so for a more every-day casual feel you should try flats, but for going out i recommend heels. If the outfit is very suttle and maybe boring, you should add accesories such as startement necklaces and bangles with chandelier-style earrings. But if the outfit is already a work of art on its own you should keep accesories to the minimal with some small stud earings and a thin gold necklace- and don't be afraid to try pearls aswell if your looking for an uber sophisticated look. If you really need to carry a bag, try a small clutch but try and not make that be noticed very much. A pair of gloves will also add more flair to this look and make sure to wear a pretty hairband to make this look go from english rose to upper-east side Blair Waldorf. And most importantly, remember florals are supposed to be the center-piece of this trend so don't leve them out!
Enjoy...and go couture your life!
